‘Reflections’

It’s funny where inspiration can spring from - whilst painting my latest mural ( to yet be revealed ) I was struck by my reflection in the puddles forming on my scissor lift floor - the contrasting textures of water, the steel chequer plate and my paint splattered clothing formed a beautiful still life scene in my mind - so I decided that this itself would make a beautiful still life painting - a moment in time, captured during painting a mural - finding beauty and inspiration everywhere - taking time to be still and really look around - it’s easy to focus in on one thing ( the mural I was painting ) but to then let the eyes and mind wander can find magic in unexpected places - freehand painting
